Event Overview:
CAA’s Annual Conference consists of four days and over 300 presentations, panel discussions, workshops, special events, and exhibitions exploring the study, practice, and history of art and visual culture. As the best-attended international forum in the visual arts, the Annual Conference creates a community of practitioners, scholars, and the general public seeking to learn and connect. Attendees expand their professional networks, meet with potential employers, and strengthen their skills in professional-development workshops. CAA’s annual gathering facilitates networking opportunities and enables the exchange of ideas and information with colleagues from across the globe.
Individual CAA members receive discounts on conference registration. Institutional members can register up to ten faculty and staff members at the reduced, individual-member rate during the early registration period.
Beginning this year, CAA launches the Cultural and Academic Network Hall, a new innovation designed to put conference attendees in direct contact with representatives from many of our Institutional Members and cultural institutions. Part exhibition hall, part candidate center, and part meeting place, the Cultural and Academic Network Hall is the new space for candidates, the general public, cultural institutions, and academic departments to meet face-to-face.
Exhibitor Information:
The Book and Trade Fair complements the Conference Program by allowing exhibitors to educate attendees about currently available products, publications, and services. Participants in the event include: publishers of books in art and art history; magazines, journals, and periodicals in the arts; manufacturers and distributors of materials and equipment for artists; digital-image resources and digital-media providers; residencies and fellowships, foreign-study programs, and higher-education service providers; and university art and art-history departments and art schools.
About CAA:
CAA includes among its members those who by vocation or avocation are concerned about and/or committed to the practice of art, teaching, and research of and about the visual arts and humanities. Over 12,000 artists, art historians, scholars, curators, critics, collectors, educators, publishers, and other professionals in the visual arts belong as individual members. Another 2,000 departments of art and art history in colleges and universities, art schools, museums, libraries, and professional and commercial organizations hold institutional memberships.
