The American College of Osteopathic Surgeons (ACOS) was established January 26, 1927.
Our history began during an AOA conference in Louisville, KY, when a small group of surgeons opted to share a mission to set high education standards and provide continuing medical education to osteopathic surgeons.
Today, these beliefs continue to be our driving force.
Excellence in osteopathic surgical care
The ACOS is committed to promoting excellence in osteopathic surgical care through education, advocacy, leadership development, and the fostering of professional and personal relationships.
Honesty and Integrity: Demonstrated by honesty, professionalism, and transparency in communication and actions
Adaptation: Demonstrated by visionary, inspiring, and realistic leadership; responsive to an ever- evolving environment
Surgical Excellence: Demonstrated by an enduring commitment to promote and support the highest quality osteopathic and compassionate surgical care
To be the primary organizational home for all osteopathic surgeons while providing valuable resources, education, and uniting a strong community base that helps our members deliver the highest quality care to their patients.
ACOS provides physicians, residents in training, students, allied health professionals and exhibitors with three educational meetings through the year – the General Surgery In-depth Review Seminar, held each spring, the Urological Discipline Mid-Year Meeting, held in late spring and the Annual Clinical Assembly of Osteopathic Surgeons, held every fall.
These meetings offer valuable educational programming, opportunities to network with osteopathic surgeons from around the country, become reacquainted with old friends, and to explore the host city.
Limited to six industry leading companies, the Industry Sponsor package offers year-round, high-visibility exposure to ACOS membership, access to leadership, collaborative promotion, and prominent recognition at the Annual Clinical Assembly,
In-depth Review Seminar, and Urological Mid-Year Meeting. Use our meetings and events, established networks, and targeted communications to further your sales and marketing objectives. Customized networking opportunities and exclusive sponsorship selections are available.
Booth space is available in the EXHIBIT HALL at the Annual Clinical Assembly on a first come, first serve basis and is ideal for those seeking exposure to ACA attendees.
ACOS offers many advertising options and opportunities for sponsors. Custom packages are available.
