My Background

Stacey Jenkins’/delivery will aid and support to organizations at several levels, from the front-line staff to policymaking and management. Stacey Jenkins has over 20 years of experience and knowledge in the discipline of Law Enforcement and Mental Health Research.  Stacey recognizes that many companies and organizations desire to have a safe and healthy work environment and wish to attain success in assisting their employees with the means of obtaining that success.

Stacey will offer unity and guidance, which will guide organizations and business on the road to keenness and a mutual purposefulness.  Stacey’s shared experience of mental illness and successfully surviving an unfortunate incident will provide aspiration to the lower-level workforces, that hard work prevails.

When speaking to a younger audience, Stacey explicitly addresses our younger generation at community centers, churches, schools and at other venues.  Stacey desires to influence the youths to healthy aspirations and a productive lifestyle and aid them to seize their position as the future.

Stacey’s topics include; motivation to take one’s mental health seriously, the incentive for seeking help or offering the same to someone in need, the means of discovering a passion in one’s life, and how to interrelate in a socially healthy style with others (in person or social media) keeping confident when dealing with a mental health issue. His goal is to offer our younger generation some constructive direction and intellect of focus during one’s essential years while channeling them to sidestep the obstacles and pitfalls of bad choices, lack of enthusiasm or lousy luck.

Stacey also speaks about vital community and social issues. In such cases, his objective is to demonstrate to the audience by involving the audience with role play, giving the audience the influence to take constructive measures.  Alternatively, Stacey may attempt to address the audience in the direction of a specific kind of act.

For instance, he may offer topics to get the audience involved in attempts to stop violence within the community, buy asking a member of the audience a specific question, knowing that others will become involved in the open discussion segment of the lecture.  Aside from offering awareness and education, Stacey will share with the audience an unfortunate incident, which happened to him (listed in the bio).

His experience with said incident will display his passion for mental health advocacy and the desire to make a difference in someone’s life.  As a School Resource Officer, Stacey served the school community with fidelity.  By establishing key relationships with staff, students, and parents, Stacey was able to implement positive interventions for identified students.

His efforts aligned with the Culturally Responsive Positive Behavior Interventions and Support Program.  As a result, disproportionality in discipline data between African American students and Caucasian students were impacted, student attendance rates were impacted, school climate underwent a shift toward a more positive rating, and the safety and well-being of staff and students improved.

Stacey utilized various resources to educate the entire student body and support student extracurricular activities.  Stacey set up a "drunk driving" simulator in the cafeteria to support NAND (No Alcohol No Drugs).  Stacey visited various classrooms to promote and educate students on positive, safe, and healthy living.  However, it was the lack of specific programs to address school violence that led to Stacey to his most significant work.

As a member of the Fort Wayne Police Department's Gang Unit, Stacey is utilizing community-based research to develop a comprehensive preventative school violence program.  In his dissertation, Stacey examines data, training, strategies, and effective procedures for creating and implementing an effective school violence program.
